1. Why can't I get a quote for the car park I'm looking for?

 

If you have not been able to get a quote for the car park you are specifically looking for there are a number of possible reasons. The space available in the car park for pre-booked cars may be full. Your length of stay at the car park may not meet the minimum stay required. Alternatively, your car park entry and exit times may fall outside of the operating times for the car park in question or because the car park is not available for pre-booking yet

2. What are the minimum stay periods for your car parks?

A number of our car parks have minimum stay periods. You'll find the information in the car park description.

3. If a car park has a minimum stay, can I park there for a shorter period?

You can book and stay for periods less than the minimum stay detailed. However, you will be charged for the minimum stay period.

4. What are the height restrictions are in place at your car parks?

Maximum height clearance for the Long Term Car Park is 3.5m. For the Domestic Multistory Car Park, the maximum height clearance is 2.2m.

5. How important is my car registration number when making a booking?

Your car registration number is an important piece of information for us. Having this information helps us identify you as a pre-booked customer.

6. What payment methods are accepted?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express credit cards.

7. How do I know my payment details are secure?

This site uses SSL encryption software, which is the industry standard. It encrypts all your personal information - including name, address and credit or debit card number - so that it cannot be read as it travels over the internet. You will know you are in a secure area of the site when a padlock appears in the frame of your browser. You will be warned if you are about to leave the secure area.

8. How do I book online?

Please follow the prompts on each page of the website. Once you have completed all the details and submitted your booking, an email confirming your booking will be sent to the email address you have specified.

9. How do I book disabled parking?

There are disabled bays in all car parks which are clearly marked. If you need wheelchair access, nearly all buses are low-loading and have space to accommodate chairs. Information about disabled parking for individual car parks can be found by in the car park description.

10. Why is the drive-up price sometimes less than the pre-booked price?

Certain car parks have a minimum stay policy which means that there is a minimum charge payable for parking. This means that on occasions, if your stay is a short one, it may be cheaper in some car parks to drive up rather than pre-book.

11. How do I know my booking has been placed?

When you make your booking you will receive an email with a booking reference number. This email will confirm all the details of your booking. You need to print this email and bring it with you to the airport to present to the car park cashier upon exit. If you do not receive a confirmation email please email us at park@syd.com.au . We will check that your booking has been made and confirm this to you.

12. Where do I find my booking reference number?

Your booking reference number can be found at the top of the email sent to confirm your booking. If you cannot locate this email please email us at park@syd.com.au

13. What happens if I want to bring a different car from the one I told you about?

In this case, please email us at park@syd.com.au with your booking reference number and revised car details. This is important because some car parks operate a number plate recognition system to let you in and out.

14. What should I do if I want to cancel a car parking booking?

You can cancel a car park booking up to 24 hours before your time of entry to the car park. You will qualify for a full refund, as long we receive notification of your cancellation 24 hours before your time of entry to the car park. To cancel a booking please email us at park@syd.com.au

15. What should I do if I need to amend a car parking booking?

You can amend a car park booking at any time up to 24 hours before your time of entry to the car park. If you need to amend your car parking booking please email us at park@syd.com.au

16. How far ahead can I book?

It is possible to book up to 12 months ahead of your travel date and in doing so you are protected from any price changes. Should your plans change, you can amend or cancel without charge provided you do so more than 24 hours before your arrival time at the car park.

17. How close to my departure date can I make my car parking booking?

Most of our car parks can be booked up to 24 hours before your arrival time at the car park. There are some exceptions, where you will need to book 48 hours before your arrival time at the car park.

18. Can I make a booking today to park at the airport today?

It is not possible to book car parking on the day of travel. You can park at the car park without a booking, please refer to the car park rates upon entry to the car park.

19. How are parking charges calculated?

Car parks are priced per 24-hour period or part thereof. The number of 'days' (24-hour periods) charged for when you pre-book is calculated on the basis of the times you select when making your booking. However, if your actual entry and exit time changes and as a result your actual time in the car park runs into another 24-hour period (over and above that booked), you will be liable for an additional day's charge at the drive-up rate. All prices shown are in AU and include GST.

20. What do I do when I get to the car park?

Entry procedure depends on the individual car park. The confirmation email you will receive gives comprehensive instructions on what to do when you arrive.

Exit procedures depend on the individual car park and will be detailed in the confirmation email you will receive. Please ensure you follow the exit procedures given.

22. How do I find out which bus stop I go to when I arrive back?

As you leave the airport terminal there will be clear signs pointing to the Long Term Bus Stop. This information can be found on the information page for the car park.

23. Will there be a courtesy bus running early in the morning or late at night?

The Long Term Car Park operates a 24-hour transfer service to the terminals every 15 minutes. Please allow for unexpected traffic delays during peak traffic times as traffic delays are beyond our control. To check the details of the shuttle bus, look in the car park description.

24. Are there any restrictions on the kind of vehicle I can bring?

Some car parks, particularly multi-storey, are unable to accept high-sided vehicles or trailers. This information can be found in the car park description.

25. How does valet parking work?

Valet Parking offers the ultimate convenience, especially if you have children or heavy luggage. There is Valet Parking for both the International and Domestic Terminals, so please log onto www.sydneyairport.com.au for further details. No bookings required.

27. What happens if my car gets damaged while it is parked in the airport car park?

In the unlikely event of this happening, you must go directly to the Duty Manager or Customer Service Office of the car park to whom you should report the incident. Do not leave the car park without reporting the incident.

If your flight is delayed and you go over your nominated car park exit time, you will be charged for an additional day/s at the drive-up price.

29. What happens if I need to leave the car park and then re-enter?

Before you exit the car park advise the attendant as to why you need to exit and return. They will give you instructions on the procedures when you re-enter.

30. What should I do if I need to return early from my trip due to unforeseen circumstances? Will I be refunded for the days parking I did not use?

32. What happens if I forget to bring my booking details to the airport with me?

Don't worry. Take a ticket and, when you return, go to the car park office at the car park where the staff will assist you. You need to ensure you have the name and address of the person who made the original booking as well as identification.
